August 21, 2024 – $10,000 Awarded to Healing Hearts Child Advocacy – DeSoto Times-Tribune
Thanks to the community’s support, Boren & Hawkins Insurance officially awarded a $10,000 donation to Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to respond to child abuse with a supportive team approach that reduces trauma through advocacy, treatment, education and prevention. With an increase in child abuse victims since Covid 19, the $10,000 donation will help fund the staffing for a mental health therapist at the advocacy center and the hiring of an additional coordinator to work directly with Child Protective Services and law enforcement.
