As a child leukemia survivor and former wish kid, Michael Monteleone, principal at Genrose Insurance Agency, knows firsthand how a life-changing wish is an important part of the healing journey for children battling critical illnesses.

For the past 15 years, Michael has been a volunteer wish granter for Make-A-Wish® Arizona. Michael has created magical moments for wish kids, from building a sensory playhouse to organizing airport sendoffs for trips around the world, and even helping one teen surprise his high school football team with new helmets. He regularly invites Genrose staff and clients to share in the joy and transformative power of a wish experience.

Genrose Insurance recently hosted a Wine and Wishes event at the historic Parsons Wish House in Scottsdale, to learn about the first wish granted in Arizona 45 years ago, and how Make-A-Wish Arizona supports both kids and families affected by critical illnesses. Beyond educating their network about Make-A-Wish’s work, Genrose Insurance employees and friends have supported the nonprofit through blood drives, monetary donations, and fundraisers.

“As a local business, it’s important for Genrose Insurance Agency to give back to our community. By supporting my local Make-A-Wish chapter, contributions stay with local kids and families,” says Michael. “We recently launched a program to donate a small amount for any customer referrals given to our agency as a way to thank our clients and reinvest in our greater Phoenix community.”

A Make More Happen Award of $10,000 would grant an entire wish for a child in Arizona. Together, we can help Genrose Insurance make wishes come true – vote today!
